Through HFTEMU’s farming education and empowerment interventions, the elderly were able to undertake maize, beans and soya bean production. A sizeable yield was realized only that the drought worked to forestall what would have been a bumper harvest. The perception and motivation of the elderly however towards work is positively getting changed.
